Truffle hunting in Istria private experience

Where to begin. First Dean is awesome. Punctual, kind, informative and accommodating. He picked us up at our hotel. Drove us to Motovun Forest to meet truffle hunters. We found several black truffles. Then he took us to Motovun town to eat, drink and explore. We had extra time that he was absolutely adamant to use to our advantage so he took us to Rovinj as a surprise. It was absolutely beautiful. The entire day he answered our questions and told us about the history of everything we were seeing and doing. He walked every inch of the tour with us. Took us for a great local Brandy tasting. After which we bought several bottles because it was so good. He could have just rushed us back to our hotel instead of filling the allotted time, but he showed us a wonderful town in Rovinj instead. All in all it was a fantastic day. One we will never forget. I would go hunting with Dean again any time.

Dean you are amazing bud. You made every second of our truffle hunting adventure unforgettable. Thank you a thousand times over. I will recommend you and your tours to everyone I know. You are a great guide and a better person. I am happy to have gotten to know you and I hope our paths cross again my friend.

Rijeka as a Local for a Day

We really enjoyed our time in Rijeka with Dean. He gave us a great overview and history of the city and country as we walked all around. We got to experience the buses and enjoyed our time tasting local beers. We were able to get a lot in with just the short amount of time we were in the city.

Rijeka as a Local for a Day

We highly recommend Dean. It was nice to have a guide for the two of us instead of being in a group of 40 or more. This was our first trip to the Balkans. Even with my hearing problems Dean's English was easy to understand. We traveled by foot and by bus and covered all the highlights of Rijeka and also some off the radar spots. We enjoyed Dean's knowledgeable and entertaining explanation of the history, culture, politics, etc.

Rijeka's beer tour

Dean is a personable young man who knows his history and his beer. We went to three different ale houses and let him pick the beer selection each time - very tasty. On the last stop we were up the hill in a lovely neighborhood looking down on Rijeka. The added bonus was the castle that was there. All in all this was a wonderful tour.\n\nDean, thank you very much for your very enjoyable and informative tour!

Fantastic day at Vintgar Gorge and Lake Bled

Dean is a fabulous guide! Very knowledgeable of Slovenian history. He provided plenty of background information that made the trip meaningful. The scenery at the gorge and lake are unparalleled. The tour lasted about 6 hours including time for lunch. Dean is very personable and easy to communicate with. We had wonderful day!

This tour was absolutely phenomenal. It was very personal and we learned so much about the beautiful city of Rijeka. The tour lasted approximately 3 hours and we saw all of the highlights plus got plenty of recommendations for where to eat and what to do in the afternoon. We had such a great time - a perfect way to see the city on a cruise stop. We were even met right at the cruise terminal. We highly recommend.

This was the best way to see the city coming on a cruise ship. Alessandra was so nice and informative. We were a family of 10 people with 4 kids under 8 years old and she found a way to make the history special even for them. She told us where to eat, where to buy tickets for less and is so passionate about her city that it is contagious. I could not recommend her more.
